Kodhandarama Temple, Ayodhyapattinam, TN
Ayodhyapattinam is a village 11 Kms from Salem in the salem district of Tamizh Nadu. This village is famous for Kothandaramaswamy Temple. It is one of the oldest temples in Salem district built during  Thirumalai Nayak in 17th Century. It is believed that after the war with Ravan in Srilanka, Ram and Sita came and stayed at this place, where the temple is now built! The pillars and walls of this temple are lavishly decorated with numerous sculptures depicting scenes from the Ramayan and various characters of Ramayan
