Qutab Minar - New Delhi
Qutab Minar was built in 13th century by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. The tower has five distinct storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony. The base of the Qutub Minar is 15 meters in diameter and it tapers to just 2.5 meters at the top. The first three storeys are made of red sandstone; the fourth and fifth storeys are of marble and sandstone. It is situated at the southern part of New Delhi.
UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage Site in 1993.
